From NASCAR, rallycross, and Aussie Supercars to sports cars and Grand Prix racing, iRacing has it all. All you need is a computer, a gaming wheel or game pad that simply plugs into the USB port of your computer and an Internet connection. iRacing centrally organizes all of the racing for you with over 150 cars and tracks, 40 official series , or you can choose to host your own race or race in one of over 800 private leagues.

Custom-built machines start around £2,400; below that a self-build is usually the better answer, and we say so on our budget guides.

These are the minimum and recommended specs as published by iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations on Steam. They tend to be conservative, usually "what ran the game at 1080p when it shipped". For what you should actually buy in 2026, see the tier cards above.

Can your PC run iRacing?

If your CPU is roughly equivalent to 8 core and your GPU is at or above Gaming graphics card with at least 8GB of DEDICATED memory (some examples but not limited to Nvidia 2080 TI, you'll hit recommended settings at 1080p/60. For 1440p or higher, look at the tier picks above.
